This Inclusive POP! art workshop offers a calm, welcoming creative space for young children and their grown ups. The session focuses on process-based art play, allowing children to explore materials freely, follow their interests, and work at their own pace.

The session will begin with a short, gentle story, which will inspire a simple art activity exploring hiding, finding and revealing through picture-making.

Activities are open-ended and designed to reduce pressure, with a relaxed structure that supports different sensory needs and styles of engagement. The emphasis is on shared making, creative exploration and enjoying time together in a supportive environment.

Materials that will be available during the session include:
A selection of art materials will be available for children to explore, including coloured paper, colouring pencils, crayons, washable markers, paint sticks, glue sticks and small pieces of fabric.

Richard will deliver a presentation on the concept and practicalities of the circular economy. There will be a generous amount of time for the Q&A session, so come with all your circular economy queries!

 

Richard Curtin has worked across the private, public, and advocacy sectors, including serving as the Dublin region officer for An Taisce’s Clean Coasts programme. He later became the Community Climate Action Officer with Kerry County Council before joining Kildare County Council. Richard holds the position of Environmental Awareness Officer and is passionate about empowering communities to make a positive impact on the environment.
